Deeply Disturbing

| | Comments (9)

Normally my blog is about life and knitting. I keep my politics mostly limited to discussions with my husband or friends. But sometimes you read something or hear about something that is so upsetting that you have to just get it out there. Yesterday, in Michigan, Huckabee declared that we should change the Constitution to reflect God's standards (short article here). Are you serious?! This comment absolutely struck me as unthinkable. This country was founded so that we have the freedom to worship, or not, as we so choose. Injecting the mandates of your God (not necessarily my God or my neighbor's God or their lack of God) into a document that is the foundation of the laws in this country is unacceptable. I am utterly appalled by this and shudder to think what could happen to our country should this man get elected. Truly, deeply disturbing.

RT : As silly as just about everything with the Rich Rodriguez era was, it seems like a fitting end that they fired him twice.

My pal and I have been just discussing this subject, she's constantly trying to prove me completely wrong! I am about to present her this post and rub it in a little!

Umm,OK. But my point is that I don't understand what it is about the last sentence you don't understand? Please explain. What do you mean by "average"?

This looks delightful! I can't wait to make this recipe.

That is absolutely the craziest thing I've heard a presidential candidate say, yet! Will the intolerance never end?
