Baby Lottery

| | Comments (7)

Bringing home a new baby is a bit of a gamble. You really don't know what you're going to get. I have to say that Grant and I have won the baby lottery. All cuteness aside, this is one of the best behaved babies I've ever met, and I'm not just saying it because he's mine. He's sweet and quiet and really only fusses when he needs something. He sleeps a good 5 hours at night, takes a morning feeding around 6:30, and then sleeps another 3-4 hours. I guess there are some advantages to having a big newborn. I'm tired enough as it is, I can't imagine having a baby that feeds every 2 hours. Of course, he is also super cute, which is a definite added bonus. Check out what a great hat model he is...

Here we have him in the hat I made him, that day I was sure I was going to go into labor, and didn't.

Here he is in the lovely hat made for him by Spinnity, she's also the one holding him. It's a great little hat pattern with lots of stretch, most excellent for growing babies. I think I'll be using both the hat and pattern a lot in the future.

I'm an idiot! I just remembered about your blog. Here I've been checking the 2007 Knitty babies thread daily, waiting anxiously for you to check in, and all along I could have been seeing these beautiful pics of this beautiful boy! What a sweetheart! Congratulations on winning the lottery! I'm not much of a baby person, and I tell you in all honesty that he is such a cute baby! Not that you need me to tell you. ;)

He is gorgeous! Hey I hear you're going to be at Stitches for a bit - I'm there all day Friday and probably from 1:00 - 5:00 on Saturday (winding yarn at Yarndogs booth). I hope I get to see you and meet him!

Aww, even cuter in the photo than he (and the hat..) was in person. You have indeed won the baby lottery, for this round. Now when he's one month old, and you have to spin again.. remember how lucky you were the first time round.

Hey, does that hat itch him at all? I have yarn for matching bootees!
